“LA To Chicago” Returns On The Air Jordan 1 Mid

Nearly every vaunted foe and every team whose jersey Mike actually suited up in has recieved some level of love within the Jordan Brand history. In the span from 2019 to 2020, Beaverton thus began getting creative so as not to simply retread ground they had already broken. The Air Jordan 1 SB “LA to Chicago” began a run of mashup concepts that’d pop in corners of the catalog as the decade came to a close, chiefly via two half-Bulls, half-UNC editions.

Unexpectedly, “LA to Chicago” is now in vogue once again via the Air Jordan 1 Mid. Exposed purple stitching and a yellow toebox maintain the West Coast’s half of the equation, while black and worn red at the back deliver the Windy City’s. Overall, it seems like this pair was cooked up with that Nike SB crossover in mind, as the pre-worn patterning on the collar would indicate. If things weren’t clear already, mismatch purple/gold and red/black insoles close the door on anything else.

Look for the Air Jordan 1 Mid “LA to Chicago” via Nike.com and retailer shelves in the coming weeks, likely commanding a slight premium given these special edition touches. If this pair has caught your eye, keep watch via our 2026 Jordan Releases hub.
