Sneaker News With Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 6 set to return this year, it only makes sense to start with the heaviest of hitters to help the first-ever Retro release have as much impact as possible. Gems like the “Peanut Butter Jelly”, All-Star inspired “NOLA Gumbo”, and more are already on the ledger, but now we’re learning that the KD 6 “Aunt Pearl” is indeed part of Nike Basketball’s plans.
Originally dropping on February 27th, 2014, the KD 6 “Aunt Pearl” is arguably the loudest of the entire series. The upper is covered in a bed of pink flowers beneath the visible Flywire cables at the mid-foot and the blue fore-foot Swoosh and KD logo at the heel. The floral treatment continues to the interior lining, while a white midsole joins a pink translucent gum sole for that unmistakeable early 2010s aesthetic.
