Marty Supreme has fully proven to be the sensation Timothée Chalamet hyped it up to be, earning the widely-anointed “white boy of the year” recognition at the Critics Choice Awards and skyrocketing his odds to take home Best Actor at the Oscars when it’s all said and done. For as great as Chalamet’s acting and Josh Safdie’s directing are, the movie will also go down as one of the most cleverly marketed productions of the 21st century. That continues here with a 1-of-1 PUMA Suede featuring some key details inspired by the film.
The sneaker was shared on Instagram by Doni Nahmias, founder of his eponymous clothing brand NAHMIAS, the same brand that created the stupid-viral Marty Supreme windbreaker you’ve undoubtedly seen all over social media. One might expect an all-orange sneaker given how heavily Chalamet and co. pushed the color (like Barbie did with hot pink), but the bulk of the shoe is actually built from white canvas and leather/suede. Orange and pink crocheted laces and a crocheted pink Formstrip may nod to Odessa A’zion’s wardrobe in the film, but that’s far from evident. The Marty Supreme logo appears on the tongue, while an orange graphic of Mauser running away from the cops appears on the lateral side of the heel.
This Marty Supreme PUMA Suede is confirmed to be a 1-of-1 and will NOT see a public release. Enjoy detailed shots below.
