We’ve been trying to tell you that the soccer moment this year will be absolutely inescapable, as everyone with a passing representation of football in their catalog will turn the ship around to meet the three-country showcase this summer. Perhaps most natural is the adidas World Cup initiative, as the Three Stripes provides the actual game ball and outfits nearly two dozen of the competing countries.

Despite representing nations from across the globe, Latin America’s rich heritage in the sport and its geographical proximity to the actual games have made it a tacit focus of what the German giant has issued so far. That’s again the case as the adidas Gazelle Indoor “Bringbacks” pack comes to light, delivering fresh iterations on Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico’s histories in the games.

From our perspective, we can’t spot any one-to-one comparisons to the countries’ jerseys of yore, but rather some creative interpretations of overall hallmarks. The ’90s and the turn of the century are the eras most clearly referenced, as the “Argentina” pair apes the light blue collars of the 1998 kits, though obviously, the interplay between navy and the country’s flag colors have been a staple of any national wear the whole way through. The dense, sheer geometry of the 2026 Colombia kit, already a backwards-facing reference, aligns with what the Gazelle Indoor serves up, and Mexico’s pair almost carries a more simplistic take on the expressive geometry of the ’92 or ’96 editions.
