Do LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets finally have what they need to return to relevance? Health has arguably been the biggest concern in this campaign, but Brandon Miller, LaMelo Ball, and Kon Knueppel have combined for a blistering offensive attack when they’ve shared the court. It’ll take some sustained winnings weeks to enter the play-in conversation, but “Buzz City” may have some reason for optimism at long last.

If As if to stoke those flames, LaMelo Ball is staying on the homefront with the latest edition of his PUMA MB.05, a fittingly titled “Hive” colorway that sports patented team pantones. Leaning on the mismatching aesthetics that the middle Ball child has monopolized throughout his signature line, trademark teal and purple alternate the leading and backups roles across the left and right shoes. Ever-changing in its upper construction, this pair utilizes scalt textures in the collar and quarter before shifting into textured, rippling fabrics from the back of the shoe to the toe.

Select overseas retailers have the PUMA MB.05 “Hive” queued up for January 16th, but it’s likely that the wide PUMA drop will come a bit later. Whenever this pair does land on shelves, expect the usual $130 retail price.
