Nike ACG is ready to author the latest chapter of its trail running legacy with the new ACG Ultrafly Trail, a product of 13 rounds of testing across 25 states and seven countries.
Multiple upgrades from the 2023 edition have been undertaken to produce what ACG hopes is its best trail runner to date. Key changes include a more breathable upper and a tweaked, less stiff Flyplate that moves more naturally with the foot on uneven ground. ZoomX remains the cushioning package, and while Vibram outsoles provide grip underfoot. The Ultrafly Trail is 13 grams lighter than the OG in a men’s size 10 and features a slightly lower stack height, though the drop of 8.5mm remains unchanged. Aesthetics are subjective, but it appears the upper and midsole flow into each other more smoothly than on the original, creating a more seamless look helped along by a series of synthetic waves that visually connect the two sections.
Official images of three upcoming ACG Ultrafly Trail colorways have surfaced as of this writing: Hyper Crimson, Black, and Volt. The Hyper Crimson pair is already listed on Nike’s website with a January 29th, 2026 release date. The others should follow shortly thereafter. Expect to pay $260 if you’re looking to scoop.
