Matt Varga Nike’s reorientation of the ACG category has led to headlines coming fast and furious out of the subdivision. Within the past month, we’ve already seen an astounding five new silhouettes tabbed for this season. Pair that with big leaps forward like the ACG Pickejus, and it’s no secret that the Swoosh is devoting big resources to making its outdoors offerings the industry leaders they once were. The Nike ACG Juniper now cuts in from a different angle, offering the same ethos but at a far more approachable price point.
Given the diverse demands of spending days out in the elements, it’s not out of the question to see new Nike ACG product flirt with or surpass the $250 mark; suites of waterproofing, extra durable/grippy outsoles, breathability, and propulsion in the sole don’t often come cheap. Yet the ACG Juniper aims at delivering the same performance fans have come to expect without breaking the bank. From this initial teaser shot, we can make out a mixed density upper in synthetic fabric, and the chunky, molded aesthetics down below that fans of the line should know and love. There, the “GOATEK” innovation that the Picklejus first announced is also intact, said to deliver a 45% increase in wet traction and a 25% uptick in abrasion resistance relative to previous Nike deliveries.
The Nike ACG Juniper, according to reports from sources like @vladieboi, is set to debut for Summer 2027 in men and women’s sizing. Once that drop comes to pass, slotted between April and June, be ready for a $110 retail price.
