Andrew Rizzo There will be plenty of eyes on Giannis Antetokounmpo as he goes for gold with a new team this coming season, and by extension, plenty of eyes on his shoes. The two-time MVP enters the 2026-27 campaign with his latest signature Nike model in the Giannis Freak 8. Next in line following a handful of rollout colorways is a flashy “Metallic Gold” makeup that should turn plenty of heads, shown here via official images.
The entire exterior, including the upper and the midsole that form an oval around the adjoining point, arrives in Metallic Gold, perhaps a lowkey indicator of the Greek Freak’s first-year ambitions with the Miami Heat. The tongue and collar land in black, while the outsole turns semi-translucent with neon underneath.
The Nike Giannis Freak 8 “Metallic Gold” releases Fall/Winter 2026 for $115 in men’s sizes. Check out official images below if you’re considering copping.
