As part of its 39th anniversary, the Nike Air Force 1 Low has assisted the Swoosh in commemorating its iconic logo’s first use. Recently, Bruce Kilgore’s iconic design has emerged in another thematic style, indulging in “University Gold”.
Slightly reminiscent of 2002’s “Acorn” arrangement, the forthcoming pair features dark, muted overlays atop a much more vibrant base. Yet, the “First Use” option indulges in mesh construction throughout its golden underlays, not leather. Profile swooshes and branding on the tongue and heel deviate from the shades of yellow take take over much of the Air Force 1 Low in favor of “White” flair; the date on which the swoosh was first used stamped on the medial side follows suit. Lastly, the two-tone laced option boasts a simple sole unit that proffers a fan-favorite gum brown finish.
A Nike.com release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but this low-top Air Force 1 is likely to launch before June ends. In any case, enjoy official images of the pair here below.
