Dime and Vans may not share a plethora of collaborations, but their recent venture suggests they’ve concerned themselves with quality over quantity. On July 24th, the Canadian skate institution will help the original action sports brand debut the Vans Wayvee.
Designed entirely with input from skateboarders, the all-new silhouette features a number of performance-oriented details that don’t sacrifice style. Reinforced translucent mesh quarters appear across the upper, offering maximum breathability, while a DURACAP toe cap delivers the durability required to not quickly blow through shoes. Furthermore, the Wayvee boasts the brand’s signature Wafflecup outsole, which has become a tried-and-proven option for skaters throughout the last few decades. On the inside, the upcoming model includes LuxLiner, an interior proposition that provides a supportive and comfortable sock-like fit. Dime’s touches on the newest shoe from the “OFF THE WALL” family arrive in the form of predominantly “Evening Blue” and “Egret” colorways. Elsewhere the Montreal-based cohort adds its signature yellow tone and namesake on the insole, while heel scabs and semi-translucent outsoles reveal more personalization from Dime.
Enjoy images of both Wayvee pairs ahead, as you wait to secure yours via Vans.com on July 24th; select skate shops will receive the shoes by July 17th.
