The “Nike Sun Club” collection has been teased well ahead of summer. And while no launch date is in sight, the lineup continues to promise more warm weather-inspired styles. The latest?: Another Nike Air Max 90.
Akin to accompanying Air Force 1 pairs, the newly-surfaced offering indulges in a lightweight material base surrounded by more traditional suede and leather overlays. Hits of pink and purple come together with shades of green and orange to recreate a beachfront and all the items one might find there (i.e. umbrellas, sun tan lotion). “NIKE SUN CLUB” text on the top of the tongue and on TPU heel panel deliver collection-specific, thematic style, while the bamboo-reminiscent lace dubraes also help differentiate the Air Max 90 from other propositions currently offered by the North American sportswear giant. Underfoot, sole units boast an easy mix of hues that’s rounded out with light gum brown tread, a fan favorite. Lastly, as swoosh wheel logos on the sock-liner suggest, up-cycled materials were used throughout the Air Max 90 as part of the company’s sustainability initiatives.
No firm release date has been disclosed, but this pair is expect to hit Nike.com soon.
In related sneaker news, the Air Jordan 4 “Military Black” is set to drop in June.
