The never-ending debate of regional pizza supremacy has no firm answer – that is, unless you’re speaking with a native New Yorker. While we can appreciate the popular food in its various shapes, sizes, and dish depths, the highly imitated yet never duplicated NY style will always remain classic.
FILA’s Famous NY Style Pizza Collection sets out to highlight five culinary institutions across the boroughs, designating each restaurant its own FILA footwear silhouette. Manhattans’ Rubirosa Ristorante, Brooklyn’s Roberta’s, Queens’ sLICe, Bronx’s Louie and Ernie’s, and Staten Island’s Lee’s Tavern are brought to life with their own distinct set of colors, topped with unique details and logos that represent each restaurant. All pairs are housed in a shoebox styled after a classic pizza box, while the backs of the tongues feature a map of NYC — each pinpointing the locations of each respective establishment.
FILA’s Famous NY Style Pizza Collection is available now exclusively at FootLocker.com and select Foot Locker locations; see a breakdown of all five colorways below.
Rubirosa Ristorante’s signature storefront is seen on the striped panel on the upper of the FILA Renno. On the heel is a message of “One Love”, a nod to shop founder AJ. $100
