For their collaborative releases alongside ASICS, NAKED explores their personal taste, creating shoes they themselves would want to wear. This continues with the Copenhagen-based retailer’s fourth effort, which rethinks the assembly of the much-beloved GEL-1130.
The pair’s main appeal is its construction, which features both sustainable and vegan-friendly materials. These are laid out in simple, Retro-inspired colors: faux leather overlays flaunt a smooth, minty shade of “Sage Green,” while the mesh underneath indulges in a more neutral feel. The laces, a detail also made of recycled parts, are done up in white as well, further contrasting the pops of silver and dark grey that dress the adjacent trims. Branding, similar to the colorway as a whole, is kept relatively bare, with NAKED’s name stamped only atop the sockliner and box.

In other news, the New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX should be releasing later this year.
