Jovani Hernandez The Nike Dunk High has dressed up in hundreds of ensembles since debuting in 1985. Recently, Peter Moore’s iconic design emerged in a style that places fan-favorite “Panda” colors alongside fall-friendly maroon.
Akin to both the ubiquitous “Panda” Dunks and Air Jordan 1 ‘85 “Black/White” expected to retro in early 2023, the upcoming sneakers indulge in a “colorless” toe box and pitch-dark quarter panel, strips along the tongue and overlays across the heel. Mid-foot panels, however, deviate from their monochromatic surrounding in an eye-catching reddish hue that falls in line with the Swoosh’s autumnal footwear options. Profile logos on the Nike Dunk take on a white makeup that compliments the tongue label, ankle area and midsole well. An all-black outsole rounds out the latest take on Moore’s 37-year-old creation.
