Newcomers to the sneaker space may not know it, but the Nike Air Foamposite One was once the shoe. Although it’s unlikely for the silhouette to regain its dominance of the market due to its high price tag and bulkiness, the beetle-inspired design is seemingly prepped for a comeback in 2023, as suggested by a handful of styles that’ve emerged via official images over the last 10 months.
One such new take on Eric Avar’s iconic creation from 1997 is the “Dream A World” option, which recently appeared in a greyscale version. The inspirational proposition previously surfaced in a predominantly black arrangement with manufactured “marks” along the profiles seemingly nodding to folks “putting in work.” Sock-liners feature an all-over message that’s credited to Roman philosopher Seneca: “Luck/success happens when preparation meets opportunity.” The shoe box’s paper is also stamped with the phrase, offering a motivational message to all wearers, old and new.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch over the next year.
