Jovani Hernandez If you’ve done any running over the last three years and you have an affinity for Nike running shoes, you may have heard of the ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit series. The beloved line is set to release its third edition soon, which may turn some fans away from it.
Touted as a proposition for easier, longer sessions, the ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit boasted a wider footbed that deviated from the majority of Nike’s other performance products. An extra plush ZoomX foam solution was found underfoot, and while it lacked the carbon fiber plates found in record-breaking shoes, the cushioning system was widely celebrated for its responsiveness, durability and comfort.
The ZoomX Invincible Run Flyknit 3 seemingly keeps all of the components that’ve garnered the series a broad following intact, but delivers them in a sleeker package than its predecessors. At quick glance, the upcoming Nike running sneaker resembles something out of the Zoom Vomero line thanks to its chiseled and “tamed” foam midsole. The upper teeters the line between the two former Invincible Run Flyknit styles and the Epic React Flyknit roster: once-exaggerated branding, patterns and support are stripped down or a refined and “faster” look. Technical specifications of the shoe haven’t been revealed, but it’s likely the amount of ZoomX and other materials used has been reduced. The price tag, however, will likely remain at $180 USD.
No firm Nike.com debut date has been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change in the first-half of 2023. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the inaugural pair ahead.
