Initially crafted exclusively for John Thompson’s Georgetown Hoyas, the Nike Terminator enjoyed its first revitalized treatment since 1985 last year with an increased slate of disparate propositions set to debut throughout the new year. While the silhouette hasn’t strayed too far away from its synonymous two-toned “Be True To Your School” collection, the latest OG on-court tooling from the Beaverton brand is undergoing an outdoorsy reinforcement.
Similar to the weatherized tooling set atop its 2004 Zoom Swat effort, the Terminator High now indulges in a winterized aesthetic infusing embellishments from the brand’s ACG hiking boots. From anchored metallic eyelets to thick bungee cord-like oval laces, the clad jet-black composition is prepped for the final weeks of unpredictable winter weather. Scrapping its typical leather construction, a fortified neoprene envelops the underlays while its presiding panels engage in a dominant suede treatment that stretches to its mid-foot Swoosh. Accompanied by a ballistic mesh upper heel tab, the pitch-dark composition concludes with a seldom speckling across its all-obsidian ensemble.
While we await further release details, enjoy official images of the Nike Terminator High “Hiking Boot” below in the meantime.
In other news, snakeskin textiles and bronze charms coordinate along the women’s Air Jordan 1 Low.
