Currently out with a sprained ankle, Kevin Durant has had an envy-worthy basketball career. Since 2007, the Washington D.C. native has left his mark on the NBA, and on sneaker history. The latest Nike KD 15 takes a trip down memory lane via a mismatched “What The” makeover.
Inspired by a Nike SB Dunk Low that launched in October 2007, Durant’s newest pair borrows panels from past KD 15 releases. The end result is a colorful, disparate ensemble that celebrates the two-time NBA Champion’s sneaker legacy. Each tongue features all-over patterns while the remainder of the upper mix-and-match purple and pink, light blue and orange, and black and grey colors. The “What The KD 15” also covers its midsole and outsole solutions in varied hues that deliver top-of-the-league performance. It’s likely the “Slim Reaper” laces up the experimental style whenever he returns to the 2022-23 season, but only time will tell.
Enjoy detailed photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for a nike.com launch. The shoes have already popped up across Asia, but a stateside drop has been unannounced.
