The Jordan Nu Retro 1 debuted in 2002 as a reimagined design of the original Air Jordan 1 Low. The Jumpman family brought the silhouette back for its 20th anniversary, and the celebration hasn’t stopped yet.
As spring is underway, the style from the early aughts has emerged in several new color schemes. The most recent take on the Nu Retro 1 arrives in a mix of “White,” “Black,” and “Palomino” tones. Reminiscent of the Air Jordan 1 High “Palomino” rumored to release in mid-September, the low-top model features brown suede panels at the toe box and lower heel. The remainder of the upper indulges in a monochrome arrangement that allows for the iconic Air Jordan “Wings” logo on the sides to steal the spotlight. Underfoot, the skate shoe-like sole unit keeps things simple, although it also partakes in the “Palomino” makeover. Lastly, a section underneath the ball of the foot deviates in a semi-translucent, icy finish.
