Debuted at the peak of last summer, adidas latest addition to the NMD lineup hasn’t received the same level of resurgence as the competition’s own archival solutions – namely the Nike Dunk. However, the Pharrell Williams-influenced design readily maintains a sizable inline collection, such as this “Core Black” effort.
Executing a color blocking that’s ideal for your everyday aughts, the NMD S1 reserves a dominant amount of real estate for a uniform jet-black composition – save the dark grey detailing stitched into the heel and absorbed within the marbled sole unit. Everything from the knit sock-like upper to the BOOST midsole’s plugs is cured in pitch-dark ambiguity, composing the oval laces and TPU 3-Stripes in color-matched appearances.
The adidas NMD S1 “Core Black” is scheduled to release this Friday, September 15th, for a retail price of $200. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery below alongside our accompanying store list.
In other news, the Jordan 4 “Bred Reimagined” recently surfaced in first-look imagery.
