It’s difficult to imagine the Swoosh without the Nike Air Max 90, Tinker Hatfield’s third design for the revolutionary line of running shoes. But because the silhouette continues to emerge in new styles despite having debuted 33 years ago, we don’t have to.
As weather begins to get gloomy and temperatures drop, the iconic Air Max design has surfaced in a “White” and “Photo Blue” color scheme. A quick glance at the sneaker suggests the style is another one of the brand’s tonal offerings, but closer inspection reveals some more personality. TPU components along the tongue, at the spine, and around the visible Airbag take on a light grey finish that doesn’t detract much from their “colorless” surroundings. Various branding hits throughout the upper, however, including “Nike Air” text at the spine, deviate in stark “Photo Blue” contrast. The Nike Sportswear-favorite also animates the Air Max cushioning solution at the rearfoot, mimicking other lifestyle releases from the last decade.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, and anticipate a nike.com launch soon. The “White/Photo Blue” offering is priced at $130 USD.
