The Year of the Dragon — much like that of the other 11 animals in the Chinese Zodiac — takes place only every 12 years. And with another celebration nearly upon us, Nike is looking back on their efforts over a decade ago, ushering in a sequel to the KD 4‘s previous nod to the mightest of the signs.

Rather than recreate the original from 2012, the Swoosh has opted to go in a quite a different direction for the Nike KD 4 “Year of the Dragon 2.0.” Shying away from the cool tones of its predecessor, the sequel proffers a construction largely dressed in shades of cream and off-white. Brown, then, details the adjacent branding, raised embroidery, and the pattern underneath the strap’s bright red Swoosh. Finally, a dragon motif is emblazoned onto the heel, weaving over and under the somewhat oversized check.

Enjoy an early look at the Nike KD 4 “Year of the Dragon 2.0” right here. Given its themes, the pair should be available via Nike SNKRS and possibly select retailers sometime in February of 2024.
