New followers of the Salomon brand might not be familiar with the Speedcross 3, but its core customer base recognizes it as one of the most favored trail runners on the market. Perhaps in an effort to give more mainstream shine to the model, Salomon revisits the shoe in its striking OG “Sulphur” colorway.
The design boasts a fiery mix of yellow and red hues, a familiar aesthetic notably executed on a recent Aimé Leon Dore New Balance 860v2. Ripstop textile adds both durability and weatherproofing at the base, treated in yellow to match the shoe’s tongue and grippy Contagrip outsole. Sharp black and white overlays appears just above, bleeding down into a full-length gradient mudguard that eventually wraps around the heel for a sleek look. The addition of an EVA midsole and OrthoLite sock liner provide comfort and even more trail-ready utility to complete the delivery.
The Salomon Speedcross 3 “Sulphur” is already available in Europe, but no word has been mentioned regarding a stateside release date at the time of this writing. Stay tuned in on our Sneaker Release Dates pages as we provide updates.
