As sustainability goals continue to factor into the Swoosh’s plans, their most iconic models are front-and-center in regards to the initiative. The Air Force 1 is back in “Next Nature” configuration, serving up a familiar blend of black, white & “University Red.”
As is common with staple shoes like this, Dunks or Air Jordan 1s, there’s a number of minor changes to bring new life to the model. Synthetic jersey material marks the tongue and midfoot Swoosh, white embroidery outlines the latter, and an “AF-1” hangs from it. Grind rubber, likely the largest reason for this being a “Next Nature” release, makes its presence known visually with the speckled mid & outsole. Finally, the tongue tag reorients from a two-tone look to a three-tone one, representing all three of the Chicago-adjacent shades that play a central role here.
