Mainstream consumer preferences have shifted toward tech-runners and slim-soled models like adidas Samba, but for all those fond of retro, vintage aesthetics, the New Balance 550 is still one of the most popular pick-ups of the current day. For all champions of the 1989 basketball turned lifestyle shoe, the Boston brand now appears set to touch down with three fresh options for Fall 2024.

Consistent features include suede heel panels and crisp white leather bases, both of which make ample room for experimentation when it comes to color. One pair boasts a collegiate mix of red and navy blue accents, while another follows a similar path with black and UNC-like blue hits. The third pair, however, takes a more contemporary approach with black and grey elements.
