We’re officially at the halfway point of Teddy Santis’ New Balance MADE in USA Fall/Winter collection. After a three-pronged intro across the New Balance 990v6 and New Balance 993, a two-pack follow-up of the same silhouettes and the most recent New Balance 990v4 “Macadamia Nut,” the New Balance 990v6 “Dark Ember” marks the 4th edition in the creative director’s seven-stage capsule.
There’s no denying the resemblance between this colorway and the “Rich Oak” from September, embracing the same combination of royal purple and earthy tones on the same exact model. Indeed, this warm palette has been a go-to not just in 2024, but stretching back to last year on the New Balance 990v6 as well.
Here, a more neutral foundation is utilized, with signature New Balance grey instead taking over the medial N branding and subtle off-white keeping pace on the mesh base layer. The titular “Dark Ember” provides rich contrast on the pigskin suede overlays, but the prompt essentially remains the same from those comparable past editions: an autumnal embrace of premium footwear.
As mentioned in the title, the New Balance 990v6 MADE in USA is queued up for an October 31st release date via New Balance and partnering retailers. Be ready for a $210 sticker price upon arrival.
