Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air” Lifts Off Next April In “Deep Royal Blue”

A fourth edition of the growing release family.

Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air” Lifts Off Next April In “Deep Royal Blue”

Even if we know many of the key markers on the 2025 Jordan Releases slate, it’ll take official word out of Beaverton for us to get a clear understanding of everything that’s on the way. One plotline that remains mysterious is the string of “Rare Air” releases, stretching across the Jordan 1, Jordan 3 and Jordan 4 with partially united palettes and novel spins on each shoe’s iconic branding. A pair in “Deep Royal Blue” now comes into more explicit focus, looming for an April 2025 release.

To set up the timeline, we knew of this pair’s style code months ago and got a customized preview of its layout via Ev Bravado of Who Decides War. This does provide some of the first unadulterated in-hand looks at the shoe, running adjacent to the OG-clashing design language of Union LA by hitting on “Storm Blue” and “Neutral Grey” palettes. Despite that similarity, this shoe’s central selling point can be found on the tongue, a black, red, and white “Rare Air” tag that unites it with the rest of its aforementioned peers. Its key branding switch-up is asymmetric Wings logo, swapping between “Nike Air” and “Air Jordan” text from the left to right shoes.

As of writing, the Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air / Deep Royal Blue” is expected in April 2025, retailing for $180. Check detailed in-hand images included ahead.
