Nike SB’s influence and movement in skateboarding is well-documented, but most of the flare-ups we catch come by ushering a new skate imprint or media franchise into their hallowed halls. We just got news of a different kind, however, with a fresh Nike SB Dunk Low previewed in partnership with CSEF, the College Skateboarding Educational Fund.
For the uninitiated, the CSEF is what it says on the tin, a scholarship program that hands educational grants to skaters, the only organization that fits that bill. Having announced their 2024 group of recipients back in August, a 30+ strong crop that represents their largest yet, CSEF is looking ahead to 2025 with an SB Dunk Low in tow. Most eye-catching in these early images is a glossy black Swoosh and a tri-color outsole, interrupting a typical gum arrangement with pine green and pink stripes under the heel.
While the sneaker is obviously in focus for our purposes, it’s more than likely that this signals a more involved partnership between the CSEF and Nike SB for 2025. Notably, the CSEF board already includes crossover with Nike SB via Stephanie Lavita, a CSEF alumnus herself.
The official promo from CSEF doesn’t tip off whether this SB Dunk Low is reserved just for actual 2025 recipients or is a general release. However, early reports are that this shoe will make its way to the public in 2025. Keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for additional updates when/if that’s confirmed, and check out the full promo image included just ahead.
