Air Jordan 1 Banned New Images 1

Those who are well-versed in Air Jordan history will know that Michael Jordan was fined a sum of money for every game he wore the Air Jordan 1 – a tab Nike willingly covered in return for the unintentional publicity. The rest, of course, is history; the Air Jordan shoe is the signature shoe of signature shoes, and twenty five years later, the Jordan legacy is still going strong. Not long ago Sneaker News showed you a sample pair of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Banned’ which simply was a pair of the Black/Red 1s with a big ‘X’ plastered in front of the Jordan Brand logos; a humorous take on the league’s attempt to muffle the Air Jordan, the Banned sample was well received and many Jordanheads praised the idea. Here’s another look at the Banned rendition, brought to us by one of the most well-known celebrity sneakerheads on the planet – Fat Joe. The upper features a tumbled leather material, giving the shoe a true vintage look, as well as a special box to commemorate the infamous event in the Air Jordan timeline. A release looks possible so check out the extra shot after the jump and let us know what you think of the idea.
