What a great week it was for the world of sneakers. Summer-time basketball is at its peak right now thanks to the slightly cooler temperatures, and luckily this week was rife with a ton of new Nike Basketball colorways and models. We’ll start with the sick Hyperfuse 2011 Run With/Run From pack, which was limited to just 33 units. The Zoom KD IV made an appearance when Durant wore them while working out with Joe Johnson. LeBron James made headlines with his week-long tour in China, and Kobe Bryant, who has been causing a stir with his game-winning shots, still has a few new colorways of his Kobe VI popping up. On the Air Jordan side of things, we got a look at some Air Jordan 2011 iD samples, another peek at the Dave White x Air Jordan 1, and even a sick collection of autographed Air Jordans. Also, one of the biggest topics of the week was easily the Nike Zoom Rookie and the Memphis Express and Binary Blue colorways.
One of the most impressive Nike topics of the week wasn’t even about a sneaker! Sneaker News showed you the Nike Air Hangar, designed by TVA architects. Collaborations also caused a buzz; we got a look at next Packer Shoes x Reebok Grand Slam colorway, UNDFTD and Converse wowed us with the White Pack, and Todd Bratrud’s got another SB Dunk High in the works. If you’ve got a thing for older gems, Sneaker News provided some impressive features on a Nike Basketball catalog from 1990, which featured Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan V. Finally, the last Battle Of The Customs was made public, as we selected twelve of the best remaining sneaker customs for vote – one of which was the Foamposite Camo that debuted this week. There’s a lot more to see so take a look below and check out this week’s Sneaker News Weekly Rewind!
