Nike Inc.’s Binary Blue shade has been around for a while now, but because ofthe tendency for any of Penny Hardaway’s Nike Sportswear retros or hybrids to release in an Orlando Magic-friendly Varsity Royal, this subtle shift shade seems somewhat strange. The Binary Blue Foamposite on this upcoming Nike Zoom Rookie mashup appeared even darker, leaning toward a metallic navy when presented on a black background. But this new set of images reveals a color that, while not a royal blue (more of a dark cobalt, really), is perhaps closer to the Air Penny legacy than we’d realized.
