We’ve become accustomed to Christmastime Air Jordan XI Retro releases, and while Jordan Brand has no plans to change that anytime soon (‘Bred’ and ‘Columbia’ on tap for 2012), they have indeed flipped the script in one sense. Switch around the roman numerals and add the Air Jordan IX to your holiday shopping list, pictured above in the OG ‘Olive’ colorway that debuted during MJ’s first season with the Birmingham Barons. The rare use of such an earthy color in an otherwise bred palette confused some back in the day, but today’s lifestyle market will gobble up this versatile take on the intense Chicago-style look. Check them out after the jump pictured with a bunch of other upcoming heat and let us know if the ‘Olive’ Air Jordan 9s will be yours come Q4. Photos: wizdomlakers on NT
