A huge portion of New Balance Classics could be considered ‘vintage’ based on their age, but it’s exceedingly rare to see the US/UK running specialists purposely apply aged details to one of their standby models. Whatever caused the delay seems to have been worthwhile, because these new pairs coming up for next year not only give a clear indication that this release celebrates the New Balance 576‘s 25th anniversary, but also manage to beautify the shoe in the process. Black and grey suedes are made to look older thanks to the ‘faded’ blue-leaning meshes, and the aged heel counter to which we alluded brings the whole thing together with a warm ‘discoloration’.
