We’re used to the basketball sneakers of various legends living on beyond the career of the associated player, but having them straight up resurrected for an all new design is a bit of a new thing. Given the way the Nike Air Penny line’s stock has risen over the past couple of years with the Foamposite obsession we can certainly see where Nike Sportswear is coming from with this one though, and for what its worth the pairs on tap for the Nike Air Penny V seem to be covering the bases as far as the classic colorways. Anchoring a group of geographically inclined combos is the ‘Orlando’ shown here, coming as a nod to the squad Penny spent the most time with in the NBA.
