Sneaker Con NYC was a huge event by all accounts. All you had to do was take one look around the show floor during peak hours to realize that it was, by a large margin, the biggest stop yet for the convention. Helping pull folks in the door were the likes of Supra, who set up shop with some exciting forthcoming footwear styles including goodies from their Lil Wayne anchored collection, and adidas, who brought big man legend Dikembe Mutombo through to talk shop and mingle with the fans. Another interesting sight included the booth of Long Island’s Extra Butter, who surprised us by showing up not to sell sneakers, but to tease attendees with promise of an upcoming Asics collab circling in on a Kill Bill theme.
