Fat Joe’s Blackout Sneaker by Protege

People in the know are aware that Fat Joe has been a longtime sneakerhead, so it was only a matter of time before Don Cartegena struck up a deal with someone to create his own kicks. Joey Crack has recently teamed up with upstart brand, Protege, to collaborate on what has become known as “The Blackout,” a high-cut basketball model with an old school aesthetic. The shoe appears to be inspired by some classic late 80’s/early 90’s styles, but definitely has enough originality to make it a unique design. Choosing to go the affordable Starbury route, these kicks can already be found in at least two colorways at select retailers like Sears and K-Mart for a very affordable price. Via Fat Joe’s twitter.
