The Nike Huarache series continues to adapt to the modern times with two brand new silhouettes in the Nike Huarache Utility and the Nike Huarache Ultra. The Ultra’s style is a more simplistic of the duo thanks to a seamless upper, slimmed-down heel cage, and the midsole reminiscent of the 1991 classic with a little Roshe middle ground thrown in. But are these two new colorways a response to all of the adidas Yeezy success of 2015? The Flyweave upper complete with an ambiguous print definitely gives us a Yeezy vibe, and Nike has to be aware of their former employee and collaborator’s success over at the rival three stripes. The slip-on upper definitely benefits from the one-piece knit construction courtesy of the follow-up to Flyknit. Translucent fuse technology hits around the toecap and lace eyelets for extra support. All in all, the two colorways – a white/black and red/navy, allow for a breathable addition to the Huarache family. What do you think of the look?
