The Nike Air Safari dropped in 1987 to some applause, but was outshined by the Nike Air Max 1’s revolutionary visible air unit and own bold colorways. The upper ditched performance materials for one that better fit in with the theme of luxury at the time, utilizing a deer skin upper and bold prints in an iconic Tan/Beige-Black-Charcoal look. We’ve seen Safari print all over Nike Sportswear retro models this year, but now the Swoosh is harkening back to the bast by bringing back that iconic colorway on the Nike Air Max 90 and Nike Roshe Run, both in grade school size runs. Check out a preview below and be on the look out for the duo to hit retailers early in 2016.
