Jordan Breakfast Club Training Experience 01

Flashback to 1989. Michael Jordan was yet to be an NBA champion, falling season after season to the dreaded Eastern Conference combination of the Bad Boy-era Detroit Pistons and Larry Bird’s legendary Boston Celtics. That offseason, Jordan was depleted and had hit a wall that he couldn’t quite break through. It was stopping him from accomplishing his dream of winning an NBA championship. So what did MJ do? He developed his patented Jordan Breakfast Club training regiment.

Michael would show up early for pre-practice one-on-one workouts with his personal trainer. Together they focused on strength and weight lifting to combat the extra physicality the game was bringing in the late 80s. Then his teammates began to join the early workout sessions, often times starting as early as 7:00 AM.

The Jordan Breakfast Club would go on to build the foundation of the work ethic that created the Chicago Bulls’ six NBA titles. “Breakfast Club was a mindset more than a workout,” Jordan said. “We wanted to be more prepared than anyone else.”

Now Jordan Brand is bringing back the Jordan Breakfast Club to kids all around the world for a training regiment created by a collaboration between some of Jordan Brand’s top trainers and athletes. The Jordan Breakfast Club training experience is a 30-day program designed by Alex Molden. It will help young athletes increase speed, strength and reaction time for any of the upcoming sports seasons ahead.

Athletes can subscribe to the program digitally where they’ll be able to access drills from a number of Jordan Brand athletes like Jalen Ramsey and Dez Bryant. You can pre-register for the Breakfast Club experience at Jordan.com/training. Workouts will begin on September 6th followed by Live experiences in cities like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Toronto.
