Ah, NBA Media Day season. While the NFL is currently in its earliest stages, there are those of us who just can’t wait until basketball season starts back up again in late October and we’re treated to all of the narratives and storylines that the press have been dangling in front of us throughout the summer. This year, it will be Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, and the Golden State Warriors superteam. NBA Media Days are also especially good for previewing what sneaker-savvy players are sporting oh-so-casually like Jabari Parker’s show-stealing Cream Jordan 11s.
Steph’s Chef Curry 2s may have been the most troll-heavy release of last year with the internet quick to point out that they looked like your Dad’s favorite pair of off-brand Payless offerings. That hasn’t stopped Under Armour from gifting Steph the Chef Curry 3 though, as the reigning back-to-back MVP displayed his all white and silver UA Curry 3 Low while the media was focused on the surreal display of KD in a Warriors uniform.
