A Former Nike Basketball Designer Helped Create The NikeLab Zoom Fly SP

Nikelab Zoom Fly Sp Aa3172 100 01

Erick Goto worked in Nike Basketball during its peak years designing unique takes on the Nike Kobe line, exploring different design elements during LeBron’s incredible run with the Miami Heat, and even championing the legendary Nike Basketball “Galaxy Collection”. He recently transitioned to a role as Nike Running’s Design Director a little over a year ago. His first major project: the Nike Zoom Fly SP with Nike Running Special Projects as part of the ongoing Breaking2 initiative to support the first ever marathon time to be under 2 hours. This special edition colorway will be available June 8th and features a number of graphic touches inspired by early prototypes and the history of Nike Running. The semi-translucent pair features a futuristic woven construction that stretches and breathes with the foot while Lunarlon foam returns with extended height to hide a nylon plate for stiffness in particular sections where the foot needs it most. Check out more detailed shots of the coming NikeLab Zoom Fly SP Breaking2 and grab your pair from select locations and NikeLab on June 8th. Pricing information coming in the near future.
