LaMelo Ball is just 15 years young, but of course his dad’s Big Baller Brand already has plans for his first signature shoe. Don’t get us wrong – the kid can hoop. He put up 92 points in a game earlier this year and even started playing for Chino Hills High School at the age of just 13. He’s also committed to follow in his brothers’ footsteps and attend UCLA in a few years. Today Darren Rovell is reporting that Big Baller Brand has filed to trademark ‘MeloBall1’ for the high school junior. Meanwhile, older brother Lonzo won the NBA’s Summer League MVP wearing anything but the Big Baller Brand ZO2 model to garner interest from the likes of Nike, adidas, and Jordan Brand. LaMelo won’t be able to wear his own signature model until he’s of professional status, so hopefully the extra three years will give BBB time to think of an original idea – and not a Boost/Kobe knock off. Stay tuned for more updates.
The Big Baller Brand has already filed to trademark "MeloBall1," presumably the future shoe of LaMelo Ball, who is a junior in high school.
