adidas Terminated Terry Rozier’s Contract Because He Wore Nike During Shootaround

If you don’t abide by a contract, expect consequences. That’s what happened to Boston Celtics guard Terry Rozier, who signed a three-year contract with adidas in January of 2016 worth at least $300,000. During pre-game shootaround in the heat of the 2017 Eastern Conference Playoffs, Rozier was spotted wearing Nike footwear, but switched to adidas once the game started. adidas caught wind of that and sent a letter on May 26th stating their contract was terminated effective immediately. The Boston guard, who has been in the starting line-up due to Kyrie Irving’s injury, has been wearing the Nike Kobe AD this season.
