Jordan Employee Hints At An Air Jordan 1 With React Cushioning

Nike’s React Element 87 silhouette has propelled itself to the top of 2018’s footwear game, staking its claim as the frontrunner for sneaker of the year from the industry’s various outlets. The combination of its undeniably unique semi-translucent upper, and its bold plug-equipped sole unit has led to a bonafide hit that will only continue gaining favor amongst the masses. Yesterday, Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker took to his IG account to reveal an Element 87 crossover that would send the entire sneaker world into a frenzy if it were to ever hit retail.

Cooker’s post revealed an Air Jordan 1 dressed as a React Element 87 with a semi-translucent layer atop its Bred-like color scheme and a React cushioning sole unit in place of the Jordan 1s customary component. Devoid of a midfoot Swoosh and an ankle collar Wings logo, its customary lacing system is accompanied by an adhesive clasp that appears to aid with the sneaker’s lockdown. Two tongue units – one for the Jordan 1 and one for the React Element – and an array of tongue and heel loops finish off this intriguing hybrid. Enjoy a first look at this potential Nike-Jordan Brand crossover below and stay tuned for any and all updates regarding its potential release.
