Converse Teams With Perks and Mini For A Mutated Chuck 70

Converse Teams With Perks and Mini For A Mutated Chuck 70

With Nike allowing many of its collaborators to completely transform their most iconic silhouettes, it’s no surprise that their forthcoming Converse endeavors share a similar ethos. In partnership with Misha Hollenbach’s and Shauna Toohey’s Perks and Mini imprint, the impactful collaborative duo have begun a series of mutations, taking the humble Chuck 70 and revising it with an outer shroud. Constructed in a PrimaLoft fabrication — a highly technical thermal material that features a quilted texture throughout — the second layer to the upper can be unzipped to reveal a more contemporary canvas model, hitting the profile with notes of typography. Usual branding found along the heel and tongue come flipped in asymmetric fashion, highlighting the cobranded affair while completing this deconstructive ensemble with a meticulous attention to detail.

Arriving with a connecting set of apparel — tees, hoodies, tracksuits, and quilted bomber jacket — the shoes are set to be available at converse.com as well as select retailers come January 19th.
