Virgil Abloh Reveals Tonal Orange Louis Vuitton Sneaker

Ahead of his impending “mid-career retrospective” at MCA Chicago, Louis Vuitton artistic director of menswear and Off-White founder Virgil Abloh has taken to Instagram to premier a new orange LV sneaker. Foregoing the high-top cut of his debut LV Trainer design, this silhouette opts for a low-top construction, one that’s made up of ultra-premium leather and soft suedes. Interesting details like dual-layered mudguards and a large rubber luggage-style hang tag provide extra flair, while Louis branding is dispersed across the tongue, midfoot, and midsole. The tonal color palette certainly conjures thoughts of Abloh’s good friend Kanye West‘s classic all-red LV Don from a decade ago, but the unique style is certainly all his own. It’s yet to be seen if these Louis Vuitton shoes will hit retail or they’re just a sample/F&F pair. However, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to think that they may release this April to accompany the opening of Abloh’s aforementioned retrospective, much in the same way his blue Off-White Air Force 1s have been reported to. Get a first look right here, and stay tuned for more info as it’s available
