adidas’s bold 4D technology just might be the future of their running footwear, and the Three Stripes has now officially unveiled a trio of new Alphaedge 4Ds: a “Core Black,” a classic “Triple White” and the first-ever Parley 4D collaboration. Although the duo of light-tinted colorways may look almost identical at first glance, offering a contrast to the bold black pair, their differences can indeed be made out with a close inspection. While the in-line release features a crisp white colorway, the Parley offers an ever-so-slight mint green tint, somewhat reminiscent of Daniel Arsham‘s widely-lauded Futurecraft 4D collaboration from 2018. Both shoes feature a textured upper — similar to what you’d see on the adidas BOUNCE line of running footwear — that sits above a light-and-oxygen printed 4D midsole. The midsole’s defining feature is its geometric lattice structure, a design that’s tuned to offer exemplary support and cushioning. A Continental rubber outsole then rounds off all three pairs. You can expect the in-line black/white colorways to release on adidas.com May 31st for $300 USD, while the Parley edition will arrive on June 8th, so check out the next-gen trifecta in detail below while you wait.
