The Nike Epic React Phantom Features Oversized Swoosh Logos

Nike’s Epic React line may have debuted as a purveyor of high-performance, low-weight running shoes, but now it’s set to take a walk on the casual side of the spectrum with a new ladies-only Epic React Phantom silhouette. The soft and supportive React midsole/firm translucent rubber on the outsole’s high-wear areas are sure to be inherently familiar to any Epic React aficionado, but the upper is where things get different. Gone completely are the laces, replaced instead by a snug sock-like white Flyknit upper, accented by a giant black printed Swoosh that sits high up and hugs the collar all the way from achilles to ankle. A little extra color is then provided by a yellow heel clip with purple taping and a firm fucsia plastic piece directly below the heel for a little extra support, while a finishing touch of branding is offered on the tongue’s pull tab. Equally as adept for an intense gym session as they are for a long day of casual wear, these sporty new Nike shoes will release on August 1st for $160 USD, so check out a retailer list directly below to see where you can secure a pair.
