Air Jordan 1 “Meant To Fly” Releasing On Black Friday

Air Jordan 1 “Meant To Fly” Releasing On Black Friday

A black and red Air Jordan 1 High is scheduled to release on Black Friday, but not the one you think. First previewed back in June, this new spin on the original Air Jordan shoe is inspired by one of the earliest (and possibly most telling) ads in Michael’s vast and robust history of effective campaigns. This particular segment featured the future six-time champion taking off from a playground black-top with the sounds of jet engines metaphorically propelling the high-flyer to the rim, with a narrator stating “who said man was not meant to fly?” before closing out with the Wings logo. That same quote can be seen on the insoles of the shoes, while the exterior takes on the pleasing tumbled leather in a unique double-layered construction that adds some unique dimension to the high-top. See below for a closer look at this Black Friday release, and stay tuned for more updates as Jordan Brand closes out 2019 with a Holiday collection.
