Closer Look At The Nike Air Fear Of God 1 “The Question”

Jerry Lorenzo is no small-time talent these days — from being touted as the man to make sweatpants fashionable and holding esteem as the creator of one of the most popular new Nike silhouettes of 2019, the California-based designer likely has his hands full. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have time to reprise his collaborative momentum, however, with his magnum opus, the Fear of God 1, making a return for early this year — hopefully this current month if we’re lucky. Dubbed the “String,” the pair adds to the array of releases a well-needed note of color blocking, separating his usual cream tones with an abrupt transition into black-dyed ballistic mesh. The entire top half, from the vamp to the ankle, outfits in this neutral construction, stitching onto sections of a light tumbled leather at the toe while being encased by a similarly shaded synthetic cage. Grab a detailed look here and expect a release to hit possibly within the coming weeks at Nike.com and select retailers.

UPDATE (02/20/2020):
The Nike Air Fear of God 1 “The Question” is now dropping on March 26th, 2020.

UPDATED (2/12/20): Jerry Lorenzo reveals on Instagram the inspiration behind this latest Air Fear Of God 1 colorway. Allen Iverson’s on/off court style was a huge jump-off point for the colorway, with the Reebok Question in particular influencing the toe-box. Limited pairs will be available in Chicago during All-Star Weekend, while a global launch is set for February 28th.
